Located in the northeastern portion of the state, Jacksonville’s Big Tree RV Park is surrounded by trees and nature offering quite the peaceful atmosphere for its visitors. City life is just around the corner though with plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby.

The park offers monthly site rentals, which include the cost of water and sewer in the monthly payment. For a 30 or 50amp pull through, the monthly rent is $550. A 30 or 50 amp back in lot is $500 per month. There’s a $75 electric deposit due at check in, and rates are for two people although each site can have up to four. Dogs are allowed, but must be no more than 40 pounds and approved by management. Aggressive breeds aren’t permitted onsite.

Extras include shuffleboard, horseshoes, billiards, an oversized hot tub, and a heated swimming pool. There’s a catch and release fishing pond as well as an onsite library. Scheduled activities vary from bingo to barbeques, live music, cards, and movie nights. You’ll also have access to a laundry room and bathhouse in the center of the property.


With an invite to unplug and unwind, Gulf Coast RV Resort provides a hideaway that has plenty of activities, beautiful scenery, and fun in the sun and on the water. Lake Letta RV Park is in Avon Park and for people ages 55 and older. It’s open year round, and with just 63 sites, prides itself as one of the smaller destination options you’ll encounter. The spacious sites at this family owned RV park can accommodate the largest of RVs.

Located in the central portion of Florida, there’s plenty to see and do around the RV park. There are shuffleboard courts, a card game and activity room, horseshoe pits, and a clubhouse with kitchen facilities. Planned activities vary on a monthly basis.

Spend some time in the area at places like the Museum of Florida Art and Culture and the Avon Park Air Force Range too. Family time can also be easily managed at Legoland Florida, Wild Florida Airboat Tours and Wildlife Park, and the airboat rides at Boggy Creek.


In Orlando, just a half dozen miles away from Disney World, is the Lake Magic RV Resort. Close to all the action, but secluded enough to provide the rest and relaxation you need during your extended stay, it’s the perfect home away from home.

Amenities include onsite maintenance, tree shaded, spacious concrete flats, and a laundry facility. There isn’t a swimming pool onsite, but the waves from the beach aren’t far away. Rates include city water, sewage, and WiFi. There’s an option for 50 amp service at each flat, but it isn’t included with the rental. There are outdoor picnic areas for couples and families too.


The Pecan Park district of Jacksonville offers the Pecan Park RV Resort, which is very friendly to all ages. A short walk away is the nearby zoo and gardens. You’ll also find a swimming pool and fitness room onsite as well as a catch and release fishing pond.

This resort offers full hook ups with either 30 or 50 amp electric options. There are back in and pull through concrete pads that can accommodate RVs of up to 70 feet in length. Other choices are premium, elite, or standard. Long term stay options of a month, season, or year are available.


Located in the Orlando and Kissimmee area is the Ponderosa RV Park. This resort houses 200 sites and provides the standard 30 and 50 amp electric options.

For the snowbirds staying during the winter months, the resort offers a wide variety of activities. Holiday dinners, bible studies, live entertainment, bingo, darts, golf, corn hole, water aerobics, crafts, and karaoke are several of the offered activities. You’ll also find a heated pool, basketball court, and free WiFi available on the grounds.


The pet friendly Riverside Lodge Resort can be found in the central part of Florida not far from the vibrant Tampa and Saint Petersburg metro areas.

A unique perk is the free canoe and kayak rentals with select waterfront sites. This waterfront resort is also popular for bass river fishing.
